The problem
Large social media presence but Google rankings were non-existent
When we started working with Pleavin Power, they were already well established with a strong social media following and a large trusted network around them.
In addition to social media traffic, the website attracted plenty of branded traffic but didn’t have any rankings for service or transactional search terms.
The solution
High-velocity content production and authority building
After conducting our technical audit, keyword research and content gap analysis, it was clear that the website was missing key service pages and wasn’t doing enough to target people searching for generator hire, generator repairs and generator servicing in their local area.
We got to work on writing engaging content every month, including services, blog posts, how-to guides, and location pages. Once this content hit the search engines, we conducted electrical safety digital PR campaigns and utilised existing relationships to produce external thought leadership content.
The results
First page rankings, large traffic increase and consistent leads
After implementing our technical fixes and starting on our content strategy, the website received a major increase in traffic after three months.
Additionally, our location page strategy worked a treat, with the client now ranking in the top places for all local generator hire searches in North England – in addition to stealing rich snippets for service and repair search terms, bringing in highly relevant leads.
Now, a year later, the website ranks on the first page for all targeted search terms and we have switched our focus to ranking the website for product-led keywords so the client can sell generators online, alongside providing their service.
